Ingredients:
1) 2 Cups chopped cabbage
2) ½ chopped onion
3)
½ cup chopped coriander leaves
4)1 Cup gram seeds
5) Turmeric powder
6) Salt as per taste
7) 4-5 green Chillies
8) 1 tsp Ginger
Garlic Paste
9) 2 tsp Cumin Seeds
10) 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
11) Oil for frying
12) ½ cup Grated Coconut
Method:
Soak the gram dal for 2-3 Hours.
Drain it and reserve water.
Add it in your
grinder jar.
First add 2-3 tbsp
water and begin to grind.
Add ginger garlic
paste and green chillies in above mixture.
Take above mixture
in mixing bowl add turmeric powder, chopped coriander leaves, chopped cabbage,
chopped onion, cumin seeds, sesame seeds and salt and mix it well.
Add little water to form a smooth and thick batter.
Apply oil at the
base and sides of plate.
Pressure cook above
mixture for 10 -15 minutes without whistle.
You can also use
dhokla maker.
Insert a knife and
if it comes out clean, the vadi is cooked well.
Let it cool.
Remove it from
cooker and cut into a square shaped slices.
Deep fry or shallow fry in hot oil till crisp and browned.
Serve hot with green chutney or sauce.
