Akha Masoor Usal

Ingredients
:

1)2 small cup of Masoor  
2)1 Onion
3) Turmeric powder
4)4-5 Curry Leaves 
5)1 cup of Coconut 
6)2 Tsp of Malvani Masala Powder
7) Ginger Garlic paste
8)2 tsp of oil
9) Coriander Leaves
10)1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds and Asafoetida
11) Salt as per taste
12) 1-2 Kokum

Method:

Soak masoor overnight in water.
Drain and put into cotton cloth.
Tie cloth tightly. Keep it for 10 hours.
After masoor gets sprouted heat oil into a pan add masterd seeds asafoetida and once it get crackle add curry leaves, ginger garlic peast add onion till it becomes golden brown.
Add coconut and masoor, malvani masala and salt.
Cover with the lid. Let the masoor cook on steam on medium heat.
Once masoor get cook add coriander leaves.
Serve hot with chapatti.
