Masoor Amti


Time:

15 mins for 2 person.

Ingredients:

1)1/2 cup Masoor  
2)1 Onion
3) Turmeric powder
4) 4-5 Curry Leaves 
5) 1 cup of Coconut 
6) 2 Tsp of Malvani Masala Powder
7) Ginger Garlic paste
8) 2 tsp of oil
9) Coriander Leaves
10) Salt as per taste
11) 2-3 Kokum




Method:

Wash masoor 2-3 times.



Add little water and pressure cook up to 2 whistles. Turn off the heat.

Do not over cook otherwise it will broke.

By the time make a coconut paste.

In a pan add little oil and chopped onion fry until it get transparent.

Add grated coconut fry until golden brown.

Keep side for cool down.

Make fine paste of it. 




Open cooker after 10-15 minutes. Add 1 cup of water.



Heat oil in kadhai. Add chopped garlic. wait till it turn into dark.

Add curry leaves, turmeric powder, malvani masala. Saute for a minutes.

Add masoor and cook for another few minutes. 

Add above coconut paste and kokam, salt and boil for 3-4 minutes.

Garnish with coriander leaves.



Serve hot with rice.
